Pupils will explore the method of linear regression by fitting a line to some bivariate data in several different ways:
1) by fitting a line by eye;
2) by minimising the sum of the distances from each point to the line;
3) by minimising the sum of the squared distances from each point to the line.
Pupils will then compare these methods to the actual linear regression line calculated by TI-Nspire.
